So I was listening to the West Side Story cast recording from the movie and realized something:
On the first line, somebody fucks up and says “way” instead of “day.” And you can totally hear it.
They kept that take.
And then used it for the movie.
It is not only immortalized on vinyl and CD, but in film as well.
I just kinda find this hilarious.
